Testing Treatments
- How do we know whether a particular drug, therapy or operation really works, and how well?
- How reliable is the evidence?

Although not specific to ITP, these questions are addressed in the book Testing Treatments by Imogen Evans, Hazel Thornton, Iain Chalmers and Paul Glasziou.

It is an easy book to read and will be of benefit to any doctor or patient interested in evidence-based medicine.
