Hi, my name is Shadia and I did a Tandem Skydive, over Lake Elsinore in California on May 5th 2007. The jump was amazing and I was so pleased i was able to raise money for ITP at the same time.

I have chosen to raise money for the ITP Support Association whilst jumping out of a perfectly good aeroplane! What was I thinking! The reason behind choosing this specific charity is that the condition ITP is one that is close to my heart. Not many people know much about it, but the ITP Support Association is able to help with that. In brief ITP or Immune Thrombocytopenic Purpura is a rare bleeding disorder in which the body's immune system destroys platelets in the blood. Platelets act as an initial plug to stop blood leakage.

So please help by sparing any small donation that you can, it really doesn't have to be a lot. Or you can also help by donating blood/platelets at your local blood bank.
