Hi All,
I am planning to run the Bath half marathon in support of the ITP Support Association, a charity for sufferers of the rare blood disorder ITP. It is an immune disorder causing a low blood platelet count. One of my neighbours has the condition, and I can tell you it causes a thousand difficulties for both the sufferers and their families.
Apart from publishing material on the condition and promoting awareness among the medical community, the Association provides a support function for families and for researchers.
It's a rare condition, and ITP Support Association is a small charity run from dedicated volunteers' homes. So any small contribution would really help.
