Half Marathon

The Sheffield Half Marathon took place on 20th May and it was an amazing day.
All the 7 people running for ITP had their ITP shirts on and we were so proud to see and hear people talking about ITP. They looked great. We also had the banner on full view in the Sheffield Don Valley Stadium.
Thank God, all our runners arrived on the finish line in one piece, (only just though, in two cases but they did it)! Mark (Becky's Dad) and his friend Mark said the only thing that kept them going for the last 3 miles was thinking about Becky and hoping that the money they raised would help in researching new treatments, many of us shed a tears! They were completely exhausted. Its so heart warming to see the comradeship, determination, smiles and caring attitudes of the people running and people supporting, on an occasion like that. It puts your faith back in human nature.
It truly was a very memorable day.
